Little berries offering big support to the immune system.*

  1. For centuries, elderberries have been used to support wellness. The ancient Greek physician Hippocrates was particularly fond of the tiny berry. North American, European, Asian, and African cultures have all dabbled in elderberry usage, and researchers have even uncovered evidence that suggests prehistoric peoples cultivated the berries.

  2. Elder trees, shrubs, and plants grow in temperate to subtropical regions of the world, producing small white flowers that bloom in the spring and then ripen into purple-black berries in mid-summer to early fall. Elderberries are used frequently in cuisine for their flavor. In their raw state, the berries can be inedible but when cooked and processed for food and drink they turn sweet and juicy.

  3. We include elderberry extract in several of our products not just for its pleasant taste, but also for its immune-supportive qualities. The tiny berry’s extract acts as an antioxidant, combatting free radical damage and supporting the immune system. Free radicals are often a byproduct of converting food to energy, but can also come from environmental factors.

Where Does It Come From?

Before they’re used to make our extract, our elderberries are grown on trees in Austria.
